Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 2, 2026

This page explains how CookDay uses cookies and similar technologies in your browser. You can change optional cookies anytime via in the site footer.

We do not use session replay, screen recording, or heatmaps.

Categories

Necessary

Required for sign-in, security, and core features. These cannot be turned off in our cookie settings. They include authentication session cookies and storage that remembers your cookie choices.

Analytics

Help us understand how features are used so we can improve the product. When enabled, we use PostHog with pseudonymous data only—coarse event names and buckets, not client or household records. We do not record your screen.

Marketing

Used to measure our advertising when you consent—for example Google Ads and Meta Pixel. We do not pass contact details or client records to these tools. Partners may use online identifiers as described in their own policies.

The table below describes the main technologies. Exact cookie names may change when we update the Service.

Server-side product events

Some product milestones (for example trial expiry or subscription activation) may be recorded by our servers and sent to PostHog using your internal account ID. This does not use browser cookies and is described in our Privacy Policy.

Client service pages

When your chef shares a menu or agreement link, or you use the household portal, those pages use necessary cookies only. We do not show the cookie banner or run optional analytics or advertising cookies on those client-facing pages.

Interactive product demo

Our public sample menu at /sample/client-menu is a marketing preview with fictional data—not a real client menu. We show a compact cookie banner there. With your consent, we use optional analytics and advertising cookies on that demo page.

Your choices

Use in the site footer, or your browser settings, to control optional cookies. Rejecting optional cookies does not block use of the Service.
